HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE: For the Health & Fitness- Minded Chicks (or Dudes) In Your Life
It's time to get to shopping!
This year, give the fit chicks or dudes in your life things they'll use on the daily and truly love.
My requirement for gifts this year is they must be practical (things that sit on the shelf and collect dust are so last decade) but truly life-quality-improving.
All of these gift ideas have been just that for me, and I know any health & fitness-minded person in your life will adore them too!
One can never have enough good leggings. Old Navy activewear and 99 Degrees by Reflex have long been my faves, and I've tested many. They both are affordable AF, hug in all the right places, are available in a wide array of colors and styles.
I screamed a little inside when I heard this book was coming out. From Dr. Michael Greger, respected vegan writer and physician, How to Not Diet is his newest release (available for pre-order), all about permanent, sustainable weight loss and health and saying "eff you" to the fad diet culture. Yes!
This infrared sauna blanket. Yes, a blanket that takes the place of a sauna at an expensive spa or gym! Full disclosure, I haven't personally tried this one yet, but my best friend who's incredibly active as a full-time professional performer and dancer (meaning sore muscles in need of a sauna, 24/7) swears by it.
This amazing water bottle. I've tested the whole array of big-ass bottles out there and can say this one is the best. It doesn't warp or get worn down, and because it doesn't have any tiny, hard to clean components, you can give it a deep cleaning, no problem.
This amazing massage roller stick. I use mine nightly and can't say enough good things. It's a great "stocking stuffer" or gift for anyone who wants an inflammation-free body...hello, everyone!
This is the best book I've read all of 2019, no joke. I think it should be required reading for anyone who cares about long-term sustainable success and health. It's an easy read and I lept into bed to dig into it each night.
These cheaper-than-Beats "Beats" headphones. Oh my gosh I wish I'd found these sooner! I finally got sick of tangled up headphones and losing my earbuds (I lost 3 this year alone) so invested in these, which are amazingly comfy, cute, and way cheaper than Beats, but just as good.
A cheaper than Fitbit Fitbit. Same concept as above -works great to track all the things, at a fraction of the price (and I think it's cuter!)
A yearly subscription to Beachbody on Demand all the workouts and meal plans for any goals. Yoga, cardio, weight lifting, zero equipment, maternity, low impact, dance, kickbox. This is the only thing I use for workouts and is what I've relied on and loved for 5 years now! (BONUS, if you sign up or buy for a friend, my coaching is included, for free!)
Cozy ass furry slippers, because us fitness chicks have sore feet after that run or HIIT class. I slip into these post-workout and um, live in them 24/7 around the house.
Fre skincare is specifically formulated for skin that sweats. If you're in a humid climate or get sweaty on the daily, you need this stuff. I especially love their Brighten Me eye cream and Detox Me super-minty masque , but it's all great, honestly.
Code: EMMY to save.
A plushy, warm hoodie for runs, workouts, and lounging.
This amazing gut-restoring, microbiome restoring supplement from the one and only Zach Bush. I started this recently and thought it would be minorly helpful, but no, it's changed my life (I ran out while in California and had it overnighted to my friend's house we were visiting--I can't live without it anymore.)
Cookies (the best vegan, gluten free, soy-free, high protein ones,) because really, that's all any of us want. <3
